Tonight was Lifegroup at Esther's house... and this time Bryan got to attend :) He was the only guy, but it was still fun. I think the other girls approved of him.
Towards the end of the night, Bryan asked what he needed to try while he was in Australia... Esther quickly responded "Have you tried Vegemite yet?"... and of course I jumped up and said he hadn't.... so we all rushed to the kitchen to force the spread down his throat. :)
I was quite disappointed that his reaction wasn't as big as mine... but he still tried it. So that's enough.
Next on the list is burgers with beetroot (pronounced: beechroot, and what Americans simply know as beets). Bryan's looking forward to that.

Aussie Football Rules!!!
Saturday night my FIANCE and I got to attend an Australian Football Game. :)
We caught the bus to The Gabba - which is home to the Brisbane Lions. And when we got there we were greeted with mass amounts of people. It was great!!!
We got into the stadium and found our seats, which were great. To be honest, I don't think there's a bad seat in the place. Although we were seated in the unofficial visitor's section, with a few of the home crowd interspersed.
It took us a while to figure out really what was going on in the game below, but I think we understood the key points and were able to follow it well enough. It was a lot of fun.
What was really cool was that following the game they had a special event (or at least I think it was special - don't know if they do it every time after a game - if so, that'd be cool), they let everyone onto the field. So not only did Bryan and I get to see the game, but we were able to walk on an AFL field. Bryan even got to throw a ball around.

ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So tonight Bryan and I planned on going out to dinner and seeing a concert at the Sydney Opera House... but before dinner we took a stroll around Macquarie's Point at sunset. As we reached the bottom of the point, while I was busy taking pictures of the view, Bryan took away my camera and proceeded to tell me that there was one thing left for us to do in our relationship - to take it to the next level... he then got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him.
:) (wish I could make that smiley a whole lot bigger!!)
I said YES!!!!!!
What was great was that Bryan had hired someone to take pictures of the whole thing. So now we have it documented forever.
Yeah..... he done good. I think I'll keep him ;)
We walked around the Botanical Gardens while the sun set deeper into the ocean and decided to take a seat on one of the benches. Once the sun was finally gone, we realized that the park actually closed at 5pm. So we booked it for the gate. Unfortunately we were too late (as well as a few other stranded park-goers). Luckily there was a Park Ranger number for us to call. And it wasn't long until we were rescued so that we could finish our wonderful evening.
We continued the evening with dinner at Alfredo, an authentic Italian restaurant in the city with the best Tiramisu and live piano music (with requests - he played 'Can't Help Falling In Love With You' and congratulated us on our engagement) - and then rushed to see our concert at the Opera House - which was fantastic.
It was such a good night!!

Sydney - Day 2
G'day Americans! :)
Bryan and I are having such a great time!
Yesterday we took the Explorer buses around Sydney, ate at Harry's de Wheel's cafe, and walked a lot. :) It was a really nice day. No rain, mostly cloudy but nice.
Took a TON of pictures... just hover over the pictures for a little more information.

In Sydney!!!
Hello!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! Happy Father's Day to all those awesome dads out there. :)
Bryan and I made our way to Sydney today. Woke up at 6am, left at 8:30am, our flight departed at 11am, we arrived in Sydney at 12:40pm and we were in our hotel by 2pm.
First of all... the hotel is fantastic! Great location, nice, good staff, and FREE internet this time!!! WOOHOO!! So that means I HAVE to keep up with the pictures and blogging :) right?
Bryan's already asleep, and I'm getting pretty tired too... so I'm gonna make it pretty short and sweet.
We had a nice day. Weather's a little wet, just kinda misting every now and then. It's supposed to clear up a little bit for the next 2 days and then get cloudy and possibly rainy again by Thursday and Friday.
We walked ALL over the place today, just looking at where we were and showing Bryan the sights. It was really nice. I LOVE this city.
Tomorrow it sounds like we'll do the same bus tour that Alison and I did when she was here. I liked it, and I think it's the best way to see all of Sydney and its surroundings for the best price.
I made a slideshow - however, it's not made with my own normal software - but for some reason it's not letting me embed the slideshow in the blog.... so to see the pictures you'll just have to click on the link. Sorry. :(
Enjoy though!

He's here!!!!!
Bryan's here!!
I went to pick him up from the airport this morning around 10am... and after a 20min bus ride and a 20 min train ride I made it to the airport. I checked the flight schedule to see if he was in and it said "landed" - so I thought I had some time to go to the bathroom. But I was wrong. Cause I came out of the bathroom, checked the flight again, turned to my right and saw him grinning from ear to ear about 20ft away from me.... so I ran :)
After a 25min train ride, 1hr and 20mins waiting for the bus and then a 25min bus ride, we FINALLY made it back to campus.
It's so surreal!! I love it!!
Tomorrow the plan is to check out campus and maybe go catch a movie. Keeping it semi-low key. Friday I think we're gonna hit the city.
Until then....
:)

2nd Semester of Masters Degree: COMPLETE!
I turned in my FINAL paper today for my second semester of my Masters Degree!! :)
There's nothing I can do about it now. All I can do is wait for my grades - which should be another 2-3 weeks. But it's not like I'll be sitting in my room twiddling my thumbs until they come out.
Nay.
BRYAN COMES TO AUSTRALIA TOMORROW!!!!!!!! :) (I wish I could make that smiley face bigger)
I LOVE having visitors!! It's gonna be so much fun!! We have so much planned -
Sydney
The Whitsundays
An AFL Game
It's gonna be great.
We'll definitely keep you guys posted on what's going on... and we'll take lots and lots of pictures.
The next few weeks are gonna be super exciting compared to the past month or so. :) So hopefully the blog will get a little more excitement too. :)
P.S.... I've just recently hit under the 200 day remaining mark :) I've been here about 100 days already. It's dwindled down from 296 to 196! Time flies!

No more papers, no more books, no more teachers' dirty looks.
Okay... well.... not all of that's true, because I do have one paper left. :( But I don't have anymore classes to attend!!!!! WOOHOO!!! :) Today was officially my last day of class... EVER (with credit). And it's a nice feeling.
[Insert high-jumping, heel click here]
All I have to worry about now - as far as Uni goes - is the rest of my paper... which is half finished and WILL be finished by Sunday. And then next semester I don't have any classes that I am required to attend, I just have my Master's Thesis - which will be LOADS of fun. What am I writing it on?? I HAVE NO CLUE!!! Anyone with suggestions?? :) (I'm being serious).
It's been a stressful week. But I'm trying to get through it. Prayer is greatly appreciated.
Love you all!!
